OUR HISTORY
Ecumenical Campus Ministries has a rich history at SVSU.
In 1998 Rev. Lisa McIlvenna was serving as Senior Pastor at Kochville United Methodist Church.  Through her own personal experience as a former college student and with college aged students of her own, Lisa initated contact with local churches to solicit interest in forming a Campus Ministry at Saginaw Valley.

From that early contact, a nucleus of prayer and financial support was formed and ECM was born!  While Rev. McIlvenna has since pursued ministry opportunities outside the Saginaw area, ECM continues to measure it's direction by her desire to serve the students at Saginaw Valley through hospitality.  Thank you, Lisa for the rich heritage and spiritual commitment with which ECM was born.
ECM Today...
2010 Brings us the challenge of falling instep with RSO guidelines. We are happy to report that we have drafted our new ECM Constitution. A copy is available for viewing by clicking the last tab on the menu bar to the left.

ECM Tomorrow...
Ecumenical Campus Ministries continues to evolve and adapt to a changing university environment while holding fast to the core vision set by Rev. McIlvenna.  The heart of our mission will continue to be a ministry of "hospitality".  We exist solely to serve the students at Saginaw Valley State University.  Whether it's directions to the mall or finding students a local church.
